What makes studying at PASV worthwhile

The advantages of studying at PASV
In an age of digitalisation and rapid technological progress, specialists in programming and testing are in ever greater demand. PASV, founded by Viktor and Darina Bogutskii in 2017, teaches programming and testing to a professional standard. Based in California, the school is open to students all over the world thanks to its online classes.
A professional approach
PASV courses are built around how tech corporations and startups actually work. A course usually runs four classes a week. They take place in the evening and in real time with experienced instructors, so students can ask questions and get feedback. There are extra sessions on Saturdays.
After every class students get homework, along with access to tests and exercises in the course's own system. If a question comes up, students can ask it in a dedicated chat and get an answer from an instructor or a teaching assistant.
The teaching is built on a great many assignments and practical exercises. Once homework is submitted, students get feedback from the instructors, including comments and corrections. On finishing the course and passing the exam, students receive a certificate. Where necessary, the exam can be retaken.
Starting with no experience
PASV courses are designed so that students can start with no prior experience in programming or testing. We assume you have never studied testing before, and we have built the course structure to be as approachable and as effective as possible for beginners.
Starting from the very basics and the simplest topics, the course gradually works its way into the harder aspects of testing, giving students thorough preparation. You need no prior training or programming experience to begin.
Practice and internships
The internship at PASV is an important stage of the programme, and it is what helps students consolidate the skills they picked up on the course and gain real working experience in programming, QA Manual or QA Automation. It gives students a chance to work on real projects, tackle tasks of varying difficulty and take part in daily online standups.
Throughout the internship students have the support and help of mentors, which keeps the learning smooth and effective. Every assignment is designed to prepare students for demanding interviews and raise their skill level. The tasks range from simple to very hard, so that students develop as they work through them.
PASV does not limit how long students can stay on a project — you carry on until you feel confident with the work and ready for the job market.
