The Success Story of Elena, a PASV QA Manual Graduate

We invite you to a conversation with our graduate Elena Botsoeva — a specialist who successfully changed field and is building a career in QA Manual.

Elena is originally from Vladikavkaz and now lives in the USA, having moved about a year and a half ago. Before coming into IT she spent years in social media marketing and building WordPress sites, but at one point decided to change direction and pick a profession that combines attention to detail, drive and logic. That is how she came to QA — and she is glad to share what she learned.

At the session Elena will talk about:

• how she adapted to a new country and a new profession;
• what turned out to be the hardest and the most inspiring part of studying;
• how interviews and the job search work in IT in the USA;
• which skills are especially valued in beginning testers.
